Why We Built This Site
Maryland releases a great deal of warrant information to the public, and in Washington County the puzzle is knowing which office keeps the piece you need. A warrant does not sit in one file. The court that issued it sets the charge and the conditions, while the Sheriff's Office Warrant Unit serves it and can speak to whether the process is still open. A bench warrant from a missed court date stays with the court that set the case, which may be the District Court rather than a county office at all.
Maryland also runs its public case summaries through one statewide portal, and that portal is not a warrant database. Someone can check a single office, find nothing, and wrongly conclude the record is clear. We gather the Washington County contacts, the search routes, the record fields, and the request steps for each of these offices into one reference, so a reader can start in the right place.

What We Cannot Do
We are a reference site, not an office. We cannot confirm that a warrant exists, and we cannot recall, quash, or clear one. Bond, surrender, and court filings are handled by the court and by an attorney, not by us.
- We do not host warrant records, case files, or court dockets
- We cannot tell you whether you or anyone else has an open warrant
- We cannot give legal advice or recommend a specific outcome in a case
- We cannot promise that a phone number, fee, or office hour on this site is current today
Only the court that issued the process or the Sheriff's Office Warrant Unit can confirm whether a warrant exists and whether it has been recalled or served. We can point you to the right office, and the answer has to come from that office.
Search Partners
Some pages here carry a search box run by an outside company. Those providers set their own prices and run their own services, and a paid signup that follows a search may earn this site a referral fee. That revenue keeps the reference free to read. We do not control what a partner charges or what its results contain, and a partner result is not an official warrant check.
